Pocket God is an amazing game by Bolt Creative which is available in the App Store for $0.99.
How would you like to be a god of not one, not two, but six (count them), six “Pygmies” in five different settings for only $0.99?
Pocket God is a really simple game. You control many different aspects of the different settings in Pocket God as well as the people living there.
You can be a nice god, or you can name you Pygmies the people you hate the most and kill them in every way possible. You can burn them, freeze them, use them to try and defeat a boss, and many more.
Pocket God offers too many ways to kill your Pygmies so you won’t get bored. To top it off, you even get a weekly update (absolutely free) with more ways to kill your Pygmies.
Pocket God is very entertaining, but can get a bit repetitive at some points, however, if you are new to the game or you haven’t played in a long time, you will find something new to do, whether it is beating your highscore or creating your own story.
The graphics are really nice. There’s a lot of detail in the deaths of the Pygmies, so you don’t simply see someone get killed and lie on the ground. They explode, drown, get skewered, and fall back to life.
The controls for Pocket God are fantastic, except for times when I’m trying to either flick the Pygmies or cause a tsunami. The controls sometimes just messes up and doesn’t do what I want it to do. Other than that, I don’t see any ways to improve.
Overall, this game is simply fantastic. At some points, I find it hard to put the iPod down when playing this game. It is definitely worth $0.99. Buy it now.
